Molykote 111 Compound
Molykote 111 Compound is a one component, silicone oil that is used for damping, sealing, and lubricating outdoor equipment, pressure systems, electrical equipment, and used as an anti-stick. It provides low volatility, low vapor pressure, wide service temperature range, and water resistance.

How to use/How to apply
MOLYKOTE® 111 Compound can be applied by hand, speciallydesigned automated equipment, brushing or wiping. Certaindesigns of grease guns may seize up; test prior to use. A thinnerconsistency can be achieved by dispersing in solvents such asxylene, mineral spirits and methyl ethyl ketone. MOLYKOTE® 111Compound can then be applied by brushing, dipping or spraying.MOLYKOTE® 111 Compound should not be applied to anysurface that will be painted or finished. Such coatings may notadhere to the silicone-treated surface. If contaminated by asilicone coating, parts can be wiped or washed with solvent,washed with detergent, or immersed in an alcoholic potassiumhydroxide solution and then rinsed in clear water before painting.
Chemical resistance
MOLYKOTE® 111 Compound is not greatly affected by mineraloils, vegetable oils or air. It is generally resistant to dilute acidsand alkalines and to most aqueous solutions. Because each application may vary in chemical composition,pressure, flow velocity, relubrication requirements and equipmentdesign, it is recommended that the silicone compound be testedbefore adopting for regular use. MOLYKOTE® 111 Compound is not to be used with liquid oxygenand should not be used in applications requiring LOXcompatibility.
Usable life and storage
When stored between 0 and 40°C in the original unopenedcontainers, this product has a usable life of 60 months from thedate of production.
